no lights as of yet im asking for some for christmas, but im not sure what kind to get. im thinking of getting an anenome for the clowns i want and maybe some zoos and a soft coral or too so nothing too much
The best way to chose lighting is to look at what you want to live in your tank. So you say you want an anemone ( this is a mistake and will only cost you money as you will not keep it alive in a new tank give it a year)
OK lets think that you are going to wait the year so you need to research the type of anemone you want.
( Clowns will only host in certain types of anemones it depends on the type of clowns you have )
Once you research the type of anemone your clowns will host in look to see how much lighting it needs now you know how much you need its just a matter of picking the fixture that puts out that amount of light.
( This works if the anemone has the need for the most light if you want a coral with a higher requirement then base your lighting on it instead )

Clowns will host anything. They will host zoos. They don't need a host but will host whatever is offered.
