What should I do?!?!?!

Hello everyone, in about one year I am planning, or was planning, to do a 540 gallon shark/ray tank. However, I have been offered the experience of a lifetime. I have been recommended to take part in a program called Lead-America due to my grades. :cheer: I have the opportunity to travel to China, actually to about 4 different cities there, and travel to Russia, and also visit a few cities there. Below is what I would do while in each place. I am not sure which to do. If ya'll were me, what would YOU do? Also, I get 2 college credits for each program, so I would have 4 college credits. I am a NERD, with a capital N, LOL. I hope to work for the U.S. government, or maybe some other country some day. So this program REALLY appeals to me, but I am still not sure whether I want this or the tank. SOOOOOO HARD!!!!!! What should I do?!?!?!
China:
Tour Shanghai and visit historic Lu Gardens and the Jade Buddha Temple
Learn about the historic transformation of China's economy and visit one of Shanghai's leading banks and a manufacturing facility
Meet local high school students and experience the traditional and contemporary elements of China's educational system
Visit Fudon University
Talk with leaders of local and national government
Attend a briefing from the US Consulate and Industry and Commerce Association
Stay overnight and spend the day with a Chinese family
Tour the old city of Suzhou and historic silk industry with your new Chinese friends
Enjoy a Chinese culture and acrobatic show
Visit the ancient city wall and Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an and marvel at the 2,200 year-old Terra Cotta Warriors
In Beijing, visit the Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square
Russia:
Tour St. Petersburg and visit the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Hermitage
Take an excursion to the Legislative Assembly and meet with leaders from new political parties
Meet with members of the media and non-profit organizations and explore the development of these new sectors of Russian civil society
Visit St. Petersburg University and talk with student leaders
Travel to Pushkin and visit Catherine's Palace
Stay overnight and spend 2 days with a Russian family
Travel to Moscow via one of the great train routes of Europe
Take a walking tour of Red Square, the Kremlin and St. Basel's Cathedral
Visit The Armory and Moscow University
Enjoy a classical performance at the Bolshoi Theatre
Attend briefings by the Open World Leadership Program and the U.S. Embassy
Meet representatives from Russia's national parliament

no, its not with People to People. This is a WHOLE other program, I will have to see if fundraising is available. All together, the two trips are gonna cost me about 10,000 bucks.

Nice! Thanks for the ideas. I have to go to both countries. They are both countries I am very interested in. I am a little nervous about meeting communist officials, but LOL, I'll be fine.

lol, not a monster, but actually, on second thought, u can call me School Monster. LOL. Kidding there. I am actually fairly poor, but I have wanted this tank for a LONG time, so my parents have been saving up 4 me. I still dont know what I want to do yet, because I want to put all my money towards one thing. Either the tank or the trip. I guess I'll sleep on it. Thanks for the reply BTW!

Go on the trip 100% You can always buy a tank later. It really isn't that hard to save up money if you are responsible.
Go on the trip!!! I got to travel the world as a kid due to my father being a pilot in the army and some of the most memorable experiences in my life were while globetrotting.

Yeah, I am definetly leaning more towards the trip. It'll be kinda freaky meeting Hu Jintao though dont ya think? LOL, the president of a communist government...
