If you have phosphates, run Rowa.
When companies coming, put in carbon.
Carbon is easy though, between the 2, I would definitely put the carbon in the mesh bag. Carbon residue can get into the water with no ill effects. If you let all that iron or rust get into the water, you will have serious algae problems.
