even in the first video the corals look like they are getting blown all over .is that what is supposed to happen?
i would think the fish would have a hard time getting around the tank in flow like that
i already have the sand blowing up off the bottom from my clown dusting it with his tail if i add alot more flow wont the tank look cloudy?
your going to want to have low flow areas and high flow area if your going to have a mixed reef with different type of corals. thats leather is probably not in the best location but it isn't any worse of wear (dont they use flow to shed mucus and such). you can put the corals that like high low in those areas and so forth. many fish enjoy that type of flow (achilles tang and anthias in particular. anthias will virtually stand still swimming in place against the current like that male lyretail is doing at the 15 second mark of the 100g video) . you will have some areas where the fish will swim into and get whipped back and areas where they can take shelter from the current. you should have some of everything not just gentle currents where everything waves gingerly no matter where they're placed. the flow also helps keeping detritus suspended instead of settling in the substrate.

got ya.
i will probably go with 4 k4's
i just dont like the look of the rios.
reason i will get the k4's over the magnum is i can buy 4 k4's for half the money as two magnums.
usually i would spend the cash but my fish order will be $300
and i need to get a better light set up .
it adds up after a while ya know
