What!?! Snails Reproducing?

Ok, this isn't or shouldn't be so big of a shock but I just never thought of it.
This morning I get up and 2 obviously NEW and BABY snails are on my glass of my tank aside from the 6 full grown one's I have already.
How do these guys reproduce and is this something I need to keep an eye on not to become overwhelmed with them. Are snails one of those things where Im going to end up taking some of the new babies back to the store because I will have so many?

I am curious about this too. I have probably about 30 in my overflow and sump...interesting.
Anyone with an idea?

snails are worse then bunnies - They will reproduce to no end. (I don't feel too guility if I have to flush one or two now and then) They will pop up constantly - I have had snails in freshwater tanks before as well and they just keep on a coming. Good Luck!

Not all will reproduce like in the freshwater tanks. It is not usually an issue to be overrun with them. Food limitation keeps them from over reproducing.
There are several things to consider. One is that you have hitch hikers from LR that are different snails altogether and you just didn't notice them before.
Other snails do lay eggs and reproduce well in the tanks. Other snails are broadcast spawners and may not reproduce as well in tanks. But it does happen. You just may or may not be seeing offspring of your snails.
