What sounds better?

Ok i have a 29gal tank and i want metal halides and i was wonderin what sounds better?
OK i get a canopy and put this in.

I dont have time to read each and every one of these, but seriously . . . . you have GOT to start combining your mulitple posts into a single post!
And have some patience! Thats the first thing you need to get for your tank . . .

i would go with the second one it looks the longest and hopefullf it will cover the majority of the tank.

sorry 007 im just in a bad mood today sucked so bad and sorry for takin it out on u guys. And my tank is 18.5"And also the only bad thing about the pendent is i want everything inclosed.

No worries . . . .
I agree that a pendant with a single 250 would be the best for heat as well as coverage and intensity.

I think i might go with # 2 beacause it is all inclosed and if i do get i how long should i leave the lights on for?

That is going to have to be setermined by your tank . . . . I cant leave my lights on for more than 9 hours or I get an algae outbreak. A friend with the same lighting leaves em on for 12. Its a matter of individual needs.
Best advise is to find out with the ol' guess and check method, but start off small. I woudl start with 6 hours a day for the MH and add on a half an hour or so every couple days (like 3-4) until you notice some serious algae. Then just back it off a little and there you go.
