What spectrum ?

Ok i would like to know what spectrum of light everyone has for there Chaetomorpha Algae . Can you list the type and the watts please and model

I use 6500k powercompact....I've seen some use 5100k with success as well.

some people use a hd swirly energy efficient bulb. somewhere around 6500-6700K. that K value very closely mimics the suns output

This is what I have read as well. I use a 18 watt 6700 pc on my 20gallon fuge.

ok i will try it. I just ordered a 25 watt 6500k full spectrum compact fluorescent bulb . i hope this will work do you guys run your lighting reversed from your main tank ?
