What Tangs Can I Put Together??

I would like to add a couple of Tangs to my 125g tank. i currently have a condy, maroon clown and 2 domino damsels...any suggestions for compatibility?

Dear hobbyist,try putting a hippo tang and a yellow tang into your aquarium , they'll add color to your tank . Just make sure that you give them spiralina and seaweed at least 3 times a week to preserve their coloring . Also place some Kent Garlic on their food , as this will keep their immune systems strong and ick resistant . Have fun !

I have a hippo tang, yellow tang, purple tang, lollypop tang and sailfin tang in my 150 gallon tank along with other fish. The purple and yellow gave me some concern at first but all seem to be doing well now.

The general rule is no more than 3 in that tank. You need to look at which ones you like. Wheather or not they will be ok in that tank, and then what order to put them in it. Most aggressive last.

first suggestion though is get rid of the damsels...

I have a 125 with a gold rim, yellow and sailfin. But there are many combos I suggest doing some research and pick your favorites from there.............

Your best bet is to go with one from each family-Acanthurus,Zebrasoma etc.Tangs,in general are Ich magnets,avoid stressful situations.

and QT every addition, especially with tangs!!

I would QT/hypo any tang I recieve. But thats JMO.

You may be cramped for space in your QT but I would add your tangs to your DT simultaneously so as to avoid any territorial issues that is after QT

is ur domino damsel aggressive? if it is, he might kill ur tang. i hv one in my 150 fowlr killed my 5 inch naso tang 2 days after i put him in. he'd constantly chase him around.

thanks for all the great advice...greatly appreciated. I have already found out that the tangs although are described as hardy have found they stress easily and get ich very quickly...i will heed the advice.
