I HAVE A LARGE BROWN CARPET LOOKIN,G FUZZY ALGE GROWING AND IT IS SPREADING FAST??? WHAT IS IS AND WHAT EATS IT?? AND WHAT CAUSES IT?

I'm gonna read between the lines and ask is it a new tank? Possibly diatoms. Where do you see it at?

it is not brand new. up and running for about 6 months. whats the 411 on diatoms? good ? bad? food for who?

get some hermits, a fighting conch, and some turbo snails... that will take care of it..
what do you have for a clean up crew that turns over your dsb...

nassiurs snail are working in my substrate now, what else should i get , i was thinking of some sand crabs?

Fighting conches eat diatoms. You only need a few of them with your 150 gal. 2, maybe 3 max. They can grow pretty big over the years.
