Calcium can very wellharm your fish and inverts(and corals) if it gets too high. Anywhere above 600ppm, is very dangerous. No, it isnt as harmful as trite and ammonia, but that doesnt mean that it is not important...
I would be worried if it is about 600-650ppm. That will start stressing your fish. Stress=ich/ick, and other deseases. Also, when was the last time you checked your water for alk, etc?
