You know when you put your tank together and you are like "next time i am gonna do this first or this different".
I have
-sand 60lbs
-lr 50lbs be here on weds
- ro saltwater mixed about 48 hours ago
how would you fill the tank? Sand and a little water first then rock?? Or sand and rock then water??
I know everytime I have moved my tank I get that awesome sand cloud.
What do you recommend?

I alway put a few inches of water, then sand. I then lay down my base of rock and push it down in the sand. Then add 3/4s of the water, and the rest of my rock. Finally I top off with the rest of the water. Just my 2 cents

this kind depends..
if you keep fish that may burrow in sand you want the rock first and then sand. but if not then what i would do would be..
put your water in about half way.
now add your sand but i would get a long piece of pvc pipe and use it as a feeder tube idea. pour your sand thru the tube so it goes thru the tube directly onto the bottom so you almost eliminate that dust cloud.
now put rock in. then add your water.
good luck. we will be waiting on some pics.
btw, how big is the tank?
gooodluck

pvc pipe, good idea! It is coming back to me now. Thanks. I am setting up my 46 bowfront. I have my house for sale so for now I am sticking with the FOWLR.

Maybe I didn't understand
but you said you put your house up for sale and your setting up a 46 gal tank. Not trying to be a smart a$$ or anything but just trying to understand the logic in this. What if you get the tank all set up and cycled and you just get your fish in and it looks just the way you want it and you sell your house????
