what to do until new tank?

In about 1 1/2 years i well be getting a 240g tank but i am setting up my 75g until then. do you think i can get by with a cheap protein skimmer until then and if i can what is the cheapest one that will work. i dont want to get somthing nice untill i get my tank and know what i need in the new sump. Also should i just wait on corals to because i dont want to buy lights and then have no need for them because the 75 is 48" long and a 240 is 72" long. and it might be hard on them to move to a new tank. I dont know, a year and a 1/2 is a long time to wait though.

You could set up a tank right now...and move everything over shouldnt be a problem. I would assume you would be just moving things around in your home. You could get corals too, just stay away from delicate types...and anemones as well.
I dont know how you could wait that long....I couldnt!

I know it is going to be hard to wait that long but i have to get my truck and my wife's car paid off frist. I already know where I am getting the tank at, glasscages, my brother- in -law lives by them and when we go and visit I am going to get my tank. It is going in the same place as the 75, I can fit a tank 72" long and 30" deap in the same spot.
