Mines gone from about softball sized to football sized...I plan to keep it and let it grow. I do have plans for a much larger reef...so in time he'll have all the room he needs.
I've never had a "branching" bubble...mine is a single skelatal (sic)structure. Plus I've never seen or heard of successful fragging of the type bubble I have. But I have seen reference to them sprouting new lil 'uns on occassion! If mine ever does then I'd likely trade them in at my favorite LFS for future purchase credit. if you look at the skeleton of it and it all one long piece then its not a good idea to try to frag it but if it has a skeleton like a frogspawn that has independant areas that the polyps are coming out of then you can just break or saw these off to frag it.

kind of makes sense, i will take a pic of my bubble later tonight once it has retracted the bubbles, then i'll let you decide if it is possible to frag it, i'm not exactly sure what you were saying.
