Well all the fish seem to be ok and healthy. I use a little powder galic in with the frozen brine shimp and feed them that sunday so I hope it will help. I got some pics of the new tank and bio-balls but it look like the site is down right now.
I ordered LR on the net for the first time off of that big aution site and I was cheap with the shipping and it was sent on wednesday and i should recieve it any minute now. So I am worried about the amount of die off I will have.

HOW FAR BELOW THE RIM OF (sorry) your tank is the opening of the pvc. does the pipe face up or down. the opening looks high. let me know. no matter what i still think you got a steal on it.

I have all of this equipment just sitting in my shed and I would like to find a way to use it for something productive like developing live rock or if nothing else have good water to make changes with. Or is there anything you suggest I use for my 29 gal until I move and have the room to set up the 55 gal in the house.

if you were desperate you could use the 55g to age your water before you change it. mix it in the 55g and let it sit, covered, for a few days with a powerhead or the filter runnin. but leave the carbon and the filters out and just use the HOB filter to circulate the water.

actually not if you were desperate. thats what i would do if i were in your situation.
but trying to develope lr in it would end up being the same as just running the tank but it would be in the shed. developing LR in the main tank is fun. you get to watch stuff shift around, and that is half the fun most of the time.

What do you think about putting a little bit of LS and LR and alot of regular sand and rock to make it turn live. If so what kind of sand and rock do you suggest?
Do you think i should wait for the 55 to cycle before i would add this rock?

what do you think about this for the filtration. there is bio-ball in the bottom. and polyester fiber on the top
