What to do

The puppy is a Dobi, she is alive, and back home, we are going to keep them seperated, till Sheba can get better/bigger, you should see her poor face, I feel so bad. They have been together for like a month and a half, but like I said, she messes with them, biting them all the time, not that that is an excuse, but it is a reason. iI would never take the dog to the pound to be killed, I called the animal rescue leauge, and talked to a lady who works there, and she is in the same situation, with a pitt, and a smaller puppy, she gave me some great advice. She also is going to get the number of the animal behaveriolist she used, by the end of the week. I am not worried about my son around these dogs at all, they love him, he lays with them, pulls their tails, and they love the attention from him. The dogs have been outside, since its so nice, but they have seen Sheba from the fence, and they have not shown aggression, they just were licking her throught the fence, but they will not be left alone with her for a very long time. Thanks for everyone who gave a serious reply, its nice to know you have people you can vent to, and will try their best to help. And to those who thought this was a joke, I see nothing funny about this situation, and would pefer if you would just not post anymore to this thread.
Thanks,
Nikki

see.. like i said, a doberman can easily fend for itself when grown..
and everyboy.. don't be so stereotypical.. you can't judge pits from stories you've heard.., my aunt has a pit, and its probably her nicest dog, she is a dog trainer, and it is by far her smartest dog.. just because they can be raised mean doesn't mean they are naturally mean..
Bella, glad to see the doberman is doing better, and even gladder (more glad?) to see you are keeping the pit, they're great dogs, and i hope they get along now :joy:

I have never introduced different tangs at different times, or mixed clown species, but I know not to do it because it is not in them to mix with others....It is not stereotyping, it is Plain Fact

Agreed..

You just seem to always take up for this type of thing, and I like to put out facts from a different angle

For today, since it was so nice out, we had the puppy in the house, after we got her from the vet, and the big dogs outside, I am going to let the puppy sleep in the crate, since she likes to sleep there, and the big dogs just out in the house, they can't get her in the crate, and they were licking her throught the fence, so I don't see the freaking out or anything. If they would act funny, with her in the cage, I will just let the big dogs sleep in the basement, so they can't even look at her. The 2 big dogs will be going to a behaviral person, sorry, I can't spell.

The funny thing with pits and rotties is that they are not mean through a fence, or through a cage. It is when they are together that they get aggressive. They do get VERY territorial and with age have a tendency to snap. Much as triggers do (to put it into a fish context) Dobbies are trained to be mean but are not by nature. Dobbies are actually very sweet dogs. I have known pits and rotties that were sweet for years, but tend to turn, even on their owners (pits, before rots) Pits are terriers. Close relative to their smaller cousins who are very nippy. I have a JackRussel, who is a sweetheart until you give him a steakbone. He tried to bite me once. I yelled, he didn't snap again, but his entire neck became very stiff and I could not pry his jaw open for anything. Rotties can be sweet. And are very loyal. When they get older the tend to hate cats, or any small animal for that matter, and will defend your home from people they have known all of their lives. That is a dangerous combinatin of dogs you have there bella. The dobbie could be a victim again being the most docile of the three.

They will never be alone together again, I know that for sure. I will not take the risk of anything happening again.

(Bella, this'll be my last post pretaining to this), but Watson.. if you are trying to say that it is fact that pit bulls bite all dogs and people.. you are ridiculous.. it sounds really dumb to.. pitbulls that bite dogs, or people are often bread to fight.. and actually trained to fight other dogs, and get used to it.. if yuo went a bought an 8 week pit puppy, and an 8 week lab.. they'd be just as nice.. you just can't make the pit mean..
and if you are saying pitbulls can't live with other dogs thats also BS, my aunt has 5 dogs.. a pitbull, boxer, 2 boston terriers, and a pug, she has had all of them for over 2 years.. not a single problem.. i guess your "facts" are wrong..
don't post back, just agree to disagree, and don't get this thread locked..
