figure out what was wrong with your tank that gave the puffer ick and then get some fish.

as long as you maintain proper water conditions, feed them properly and eliminate harassing fish the puffers will be fine. if you want movement get a porcupine puffer and a cowfish. they will chase after you begging for food every time you walk past the tank.

i want to do some thing with damsels and clown fish. to add some movement but if i do than i cant have any of the eels, gruopers, and all that becuase the damsels will fall pray. so witch way do i go? if i went with a community tank what fish do you suggest. see the thing is im getting a uv to help with my ick troubles but that doesnt mean there solved i know. so agressive or community? if i go aggressive i would like to have one big fish thats some what like ya know the center peace. a really like the tesselata but i dont think theres any thing it wont eat. could i do a zebra in a comunity tank? if so does any one have any expierence with them? thanX

smaller fish would be alot more comfortable in a tank that size. it would also be much less of a hassle to keep the trates down. have you ever considered a reef tank?

man you read my mind! i really would love to do a reef but only have about a 450$ buget. i tried to do one with florencent bulbs in the past. i was advised by my lfs that i could buy a double to put with my single and i did. 2 white 1 atenic. i put in a condalactus and it lived about 2 weeks it kept floating around and got sucked into the over flow? it got impaled on the edge! so i just did another aggressive after that. lost em all to ick the snowflake is the only one left! what to do man??

oops, i didn't see you had 60 lbs. all you need is another 20 or 30 lbs of good rock.

-my bad i forgot to include thats base rock i was told if i introduced a little bit of live rock like 15 pounds it would develope the coral line algea on the base rock? i just needed to add some kind of suplement and it would make it grow faster and save me the expence of buy lr becuase i was on a budget. so is that right could do that again what about lighting?

forget about flourescents. get vho,pc or halides. vho or pc's will be cheaper and for a tank that size around 400 watts should be enough to keep all soft most lps and some sps corals.
250 will get you a pretty good used lighting system and another 50 lbs of good rock would be perfect.
