What to feed a lionfish???

what has everyone had success feeding lionfish? some people have difficulty feeding them frozen foods and live foods arent always the best idea... any suggestions?

When i had mine, it ate feeder guppies and some frozen foods. i never had a problem with it eating.

start with live fish, he will start to recongnize you for his source of food, then slowly go to frozen, maybe put it on a stick and he will slowly start to take the frozen, this is what i did with my lion and he gladly takes forzen now. also you can get him from the lfs if he is already eating frozen.

i feed mine live saltwater shrimp. also feeder fish sometimes, he does not seem to have a problem. i mean why else would you get a lion but to watch him eat?? it is amazing! since he (i'm calling him a he but i do not really know) has gotten bigger he no herds fish/shrimp with his fins. i love to watch him.

Because frozen fortified with vitimans are much heathlier. He will grow faster with brighter color. And there is nothing wrong with the live treat every now and then, espically when you've got company and want to sahow off!!!
