What to feed a pistol shrimp

OK, i'm getting tired of my pistol shrimp eating every single crab i put in my tank!!! I purchased 10 red scarlet hermit crabs 2 weeks ago and I have one left:mad: My pistol shrimp has a nice collection of hermit shells in front of his burrow so I'm pretty sure he's the culprit.
So, seen as how i never see my pistol shrimp (once in a blue moon) and his watchman gobie won't cough up any info on him. I'm stuck with a decision. Should i try and feed the shrimp more often (scallops or something) or should I get rid of this pest so i can enjoy watching some crabs go to work?? any suggestions? anyone ever had a pistol shrimp act like this??

Yeah, he's a dull red/orange color, he hangs out with my blue banded watchman goby just fine. I've had him for about a year now and haven't had much trouble until recently, he's developed an appetite for other inverts. I'll post a pic later i'm at work right now.
