Ive read on here that cyclopeeze is good., I bought some a few days ago, for my hammer coral, and I guess its good,,,,kind of hard to tell as you dont accually see it eat.
My fish seem to enjoy the cyclopeeze to be sure!

I think that in general, trace elements, calcium and light are all it needs to stay alive. If you have fish it will surely get some of their food. Before my SPS tank was setup I never put cyclopese or DTs in my tank. My hammer and torch were growing still growing, but now they look a lot brighter. I think in the wild they eat zooplankton. So DTs are good for it as well as cyclopese.
'yup. Fish love the 'pese. My clowns and shrimp will practically suck it out of the syringe I use to dose the tank.

I have photoplankton too....how much should I put in the tank, and should I add it to top off water or just pour it in the DT? btw, I have a 24g nano.
thanks,

It needs to be added to the tank directly, i just dump some in, i'm not really scientific about it...maybe a capful for a 24g...maybe someone who knows better will chime in.

Frogspawn and Zoanthids cannot eat Phytoplankton. I would suggest not feeding the Zoa and occationally directly feeding the Frogspawn with nutritious fish food (no flaked food).

I'll have to find where i read it, i want to say it was in one of Borneman or calfos books, my understanding was that it produced the best coloration and growth. I do agree about the zoas, especially palys, they love a nice chunk of meat!

Turkey baster of cyclopees and oyster eggs good for them? I sure hope so?

Sounds like something Anthony would say.
the fish store should sell the cyclopeze (sp? sorry) as a set with the phytoplankton in the freezer section where they would keep thier frozen brine shrimp. get the pack and there you go. it has fool proof directions and i have noticed a siginficant difference with the cyclopeze addition. my zoos are brighter and my other corals are really healthy looking. like everyone warns be careful not to add too much. good luck and hope you have success!!!
ohhhh PS make sure you turn off your powerheads and filtration when squirting them, or you will waste your effort.
I've been adding a squirt or 2 of bottled zooplankton to my tank every other day for the last month or so. Since I started adding it my hammer and candy cane have gotten a lot more color and seem to be growing a bit faster than they were when they were just getting light as the only food source.
I've hand fed my Frogspawn a small piece of Krill about 2x a week and do Cyclopeeze every other day. Everything loves Cyclopeeze; put the krill directly into the tenticles by it's mouth. (As long as fish are eating they shouldn't try to take it's food.)
