what to feed lawnmower blenny

I have a lawnmower blenny that I got and has done a wonderful job taking care of my hair algae issue- but I am concerned that he is not getting enough to eat (or a good variety of food) I have been dropping red algae to the bottom of the tank for 2 hrs at a time, almost every day - but I never see him eating it.
Any ideas what to get this guy to eat?

Feed him algae strips. Your LFS should carry them. Just get one of those clips with a suction cup. Mine goe nuts on that stuff. So does my turbo snail!

I am using the dried algea sheets (they had red, gren and black? algae) and tearing off a piece and putting it on a rock so it goes to the bottom of the tank- he doesn't seem to eat when it is up high on the glass, so I am trying to get it down to him.
Is this the same thing as you are referring to, or are 'algea strips' something different?
