What to feed my Heniochus???

I recently purchased a Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish and it really hasn't eaten much. I have tried frozen brine shrimp and cut up silversides. What does this thing eat??

Heniochus acuminatus
It eats zooplankton and bottom-living invertebrates.

I am kind of new at keeping SW fish. Where exactly do I purchase zooplankton??

yep. believe it or not, most of us feed fresh food from the store. like shrimp, mussels, clams, etc. It depends on how finicky the species.

What do you mean fresh food from the store?? Like the grocery store??

yes. fresh uncooked. yeah, I know, it sounds a little weird. Have you read anything about this species? Thats always the best thing to do.

Yes....I have read up on the species and every website says something different when it comes to its diet. So I figured I'd come here. I will have to look into getting some fresh stuff, but for today I will run to my lfs and pick up the plankton...Thanks for your help.

no problem. sometimes, if it wont eat, i know people dip food in garlic first
