Aww your lil cleaner is cute, Jenn
I'm a fan of natural type cures so we plan on a cleaner or two and a few little neon gobies (from what I've heard and seen cleaner wrasse are more obligate parasite/mucous feeders so I chose the gobies as my cleaner fish instead).
Foods: To feed any animals in your tank find out what they eat! I.e., tangs are algae grazers mostly so one thing you can feed them is to get sheets of dried seaweed to clip in the tank for them. Plus I really feel that all animals benefit from a variety. I make a kind of game out of finding just how many different veggie and meaty type foods I can find to feed my guys then rotate what they eat each day.
Speaking of food and natural cures adding liquid garlic to your foods is a good idea. I've been a big fan of garlic for many years, all my family and animals get it, and I was happy to hear that fish get the same benefits from it. Some foods already have garlic in them and those that don't you can add a few drops of garlic to.
I forgot to tell you what the three you picked are!
Sorry! Your clown and starfish are pretty much omnivores, your shrimp a carnivore. Now think about the creatures themselves... The clown can move quickly through the water snapping up bits of this and that so anything that floats or sinks slowly/whirls about in the current will work for him. The starfish is a slow mover who won't really be able to get food from the surface or in the water column so something that stays more stationary till he can get to it to eat it is best for him. The shrimp can move about quicker than the star but still doesn't usually swim through the water column the same as the clown so he too could use something kind of stationary.
