I agree that the tank may be a little small for a hippo.

too small....youl have to upgrade or give up the tang after 6 months so...your choice

Tank is too small for a hippo tang.... they need atleast 6' of swimming space

If the hippo is small he would be alright for awhile but they are ick magnets and kinda delicate need lots of algea! Firefish are really cool unless you have an open top.....they can and will jump guarranteed. Carrie

If you are trying to make a statement ... get a hippo... it'll stand out real good.
I had all.. Hippo got ick, firefish jumped and died... cant win them all...
