What to look for in a dwarf lion?

I'm looking at buying a dwarf lion tomorrow, they have 2 of them and they are both around 2.5" big, should I go with the bigger one(about 1/4 of inch) or doesn't matter, right now they are in a tank with no hiding spots so I'm sure they are freaked, so I'd like to minimize stress on these guys.
I'm with my mom and were leaving tomorrow at 8 but the only problem is the store closes at 5. The drive home is 1.5 hours? Will the lionfish make it?

Excellent, I have had Mine for just about forever. Though he is a Fuzzy Dwarf Lion. Their size, since they are close together, should not really matter. You need evaluate the one you like most as if your a judge in a contest. Meaning look for any irregularities; spots that don't belong, scrapes from rough handling, damaged fins, clear eyes. Also ask about his eating habits, a healthy lionfish should accept food any time it is offered. Also don't let the LFS put him in a bag that is just too small. Tell them to get one that is about three times his size. Since he will probably stick all of his fins out once he is caught, and you should be alright with the travel time with the extra large bag.

I'm not to worried about getting it to feed, as i've heard that it just takes time, I'm sure I won't be to stressed when it hasn't eaten for a week however
Both of them looked healthy when i was there today, good idea on the bag thing, I'm going to talk to him about bagging it and seeing if he'll triple bag it for me, since its a lionfish, i dont want any punctures.
I think I'm going to choose by seeing which one when i ask them to feed it is more apt to looking for its prey...

go for the most active one.....ask if you can see them feed.......tap the glass and go for the one with swims to your finger.......should be fine over that time.....as to put it in a larger bag(more water and a oxygen)

tell the fs you have a long drive and to get you an extra large bag and lots of water. you should be fine

well..i didn't get it..my parents decided to leave at 6 a.m. the next morning when the store isn't open and i didn't think it could last over 12 hours in the bag
im so mad....hopefully when i come back next week, atleast one will still be there..
