ok, i decided it makes too much sense to get a refractometer...i couldnt imagine doing a water change without it when the time comes. what exactly should i look for when scoping one out? I noticed there are several different ones, some have glass prisms, stuff like that.. what are the best options? :help:

I'm not sure about the glass prizms.
Mine has a calibration dial that came with a little screw driver and you need distilled water to calibrate it with, pretty simple.
Hopefully someone else will come along who can help more! :joy:

I just bought one last thursday from a shop in Indy they have them on sale for 29.99. They calibrated it for me. I tested both tanks when i got home and they where testing the sam as my hydrometer had been showing all along. But this is so easy to read and only takes 2 drops of water.
