I have a 150g 5x2x2 Lee Mar Tank. We have a 40 gallon sump with a filter sock, Fuge with Cheato and LR Rubble, 14 watt UV, and a Euro-Reef RS250 Skimmer which is rated for 250 gallons. I'm trying to decide on a trigger for my tank, my current stocking list in chronological order as follows.
3 green reef chromis
2 percs (hosting carpet anemone)
1 racoon butterfly
1 orange-tail fiji puffer
1 longnose hawkfish
1 leopard wrasse(female)
1 queen angel(4'')
1 blue cheek sleeper goby
Ammonium 0, ite 0, nitrates are at 10 and all the fish are healthy and eating very well.
what would u guys recommend between these fish
Hawaiian Black Trigger
Male+Female pair of Blue Jaws
we will do one or the other if water parameters are looking good and if the fish are healthy and doing well.
also, are we in the near future able to add a Male Blond Naso Tang from the Red Sea or will the queen trigger show to much aggression to it since the queens already been introduced into the tank and will be the most dominate fish.
thanks for your time and help

Do you have a Queen Trigger or Angel?....Hopefully Angel, as a Queen Trigger is far too big for the system and far too aggressive. As far as your "which Trigger" question, IMO the Blue Throat is a great choice, the black is a peaceful, but very very large trigger.

oppps im so sorry about that. we have a queen angel... sorry for the confusion.
also, we have had a blue throat in the past and i loved it but im kinda leaning towards the black trigger because i think its colleration would look really cool with the queen angel in their. they would compliment each other very well if u get what im trying to say

I see you do not have any invertebrates so saying that a Niger Trigger should not be a problem if your angle is not to territorial.

well actually, we do have a cleaner shrimp.... we had a sargassum and he left it alone but then we got the blue jaw and he ate it. i know the hawaiian black will prob eat it for sure, and prob so will the bluejaw but im willing to sacrifice it for a trigger. worth a shot i guess

Given your tank dimensions and other inhabitants, I think the pair of blue jaws would be a better choice. The Durgeon triggers are very striking but they can manifest a jekyl/hyde personality. I've known them to attack and kill equally large tank mates. I'd also discourage you from adding a naso tang to this system. It will compete with the angel for limited real estate and simply outgrow the tank. I think the queen will eventually be cramped but you have some time as they are fairly slow growing fish.

My favorite is the huma huma, very personable, and can be hand fed. Mine would let me pet him. Just my .02.

im afraid a huma huma would be too aggressive. still my plans are either a black trig, and well, i think i just want to go with one of those, unless, there is another big colorful fish i can get that will work with my tankmates
