JDL, another thing to think about is that you do see a lot of coporate people who own iphones. That's a shoe-in if you ask me.

I run 3 computers.... first is my Dell laptop for school, nothing to special, second one is a MAC that I use ONLY for graphic design and picture work and the third I custom built. it was build to handle graphically intense programs with a solid 8GB of RAM running XP 64 bit. its lightning fast but needs to be sold for the money lol. 7/10 times I just use y laptop over the other 2 but I got a killer deal on the MAC so I couldn't pass it up!

The same reasons why a blackberry doesnt get mac lovers to love a pc.
the cost alone will never allow a mac to take over in the corporate world. Right or wrong, that is the way it is.

Actually, I have a blackberry curve 8330. Before that I had an 8703e. I prefer it over the iphone because of it's push e-mail abilities... and extremely resilient battery life. I used to have an iphone 3G, and definitely loved it's clean lines and seamless OS, with pretty solid integration with iTunes.
sorry, little tangent.
You can get a mac mini desktop for $599, and it's pretty solid too. Better than any standard dell machine, although it doesn't come with a monitor. Even still, $599 for a mac desktop is pretty good. People talk about how expensive they are, but for what it's worth, the Mac Mini has a fair amount of horsepower for the price.
But you're right, I highly doubt we'll see Apple overtake Microsoft in the corporate world. It really isn't feasible, for both Apple and the end-user.

I build all my computers my self for alot cheaper than you could buy at a chain. Besides it's always fun overclocking a machine you built your self to be stupid fast.
My Programing teacher from College made the best statement about Macs. "They are status symbols and are for people who have money to waste and don't much about computers. You turn it on, it works and thats it..."

it's hardly a status symbol having a mac. you get what you pay for. it's nice that your teacher added that it works when you turn it on... pc's are a crap-shoot everytime you power up.
