What type of coral is this?

I went to a frag swap today and bought so many different things for my three tanks that I can't remember what this one is called!

Nah, don't think it's any type of leather. Lemme go see if it's opened up any since it's been acclimating in the tank....the first picture was taken right after I got it out of the car. Stand by . . .

Tis a leather my dear.
Here is a green Sinularia sp.
finger leather from Bretts Reef.

Could be some type of Colt or Nepthea but I don't think so.

I think you're right Henry. Doesn't look too much like a colt or nepthea either.

Well I'll be...... a finger leather, huh? The reason I didn't initially think so is because, even though it doesn't look like it in the photos, this thing is GLOWING green. But now that I've looked up some photos of a finger leather I see that they can be very bright - my bad, but as always, I learned something!
OK, now I'm off to go read about what it would ideally like as far as lighting, flow, etc.
Thanks, Henry - you came to my rescue, as always. Now answer me this: for someone who is the master of inserted picture images, why is your avatar a powerhead?

Look closely at the powerhead...it's really a very cool picture.

The power head is off to take pictures of my tank. My tail spot blenny (Ecsenius stigmatura) decided he might like to sit in there for a while. See him??

Oh for crying out loud -- how cool is that, and I never even noticed!
My apologies, Henry. Very cool pic - sorry I never looked more closely.

I'm about to hijack my own thread but it's ok - I got permission from the OP. My plan is to put several of the new corals in my 14 gallon biocube but I have a BTA in there. Is that going to be a problem?
