Say this to me again when I'm here bragging about the birth of my 10th child, (would probably be all girls the way I'm going).

LoL, awwwww...what a pretty girl! I think we ALL would love her.
she looks a little more like a bagel than a pure basset tho (bagel= basset + beagle), b/c her ears are so short.

my flat coat golden lab is the daughter of her mother and her older brother (Taz). my other lab is half golden half German Sheppard (Hunbear). Hunbear likes to eat bees, it is funny to watch this because she doesn't get stung but she goes crazy eating them. I raised both of them since they were pups. Hunbear is the older one.

He's good... very friendly. The only problem with the giant breeds and kids is that they are clumsy. My dogs can easily knock my daughter down or whack her with their tail if they get excited. This is not the dogs' fault. Saint's have great temperments.

Tell me about it, my dad has mastiffs and over all they are great with the kids...seems like they know how big they are and try to be as careful as they can. Would get one but my wife thinks it's too big so I'd like to get a large dog but not 200+lbs. So, we are considering bull mastiff, dane, bloodhound and possibly a bernard.

We have a problem with our mastiff, but it does not involve the kids. Our mastiff is very dog aggressive, although she is great with people. The nice thing about mastiffs is the short hair. Danes are goods dogs... somewhat high energy for the giant breeds but great dogs. With a saint, you're going to generally have a lot of hair, (although mine's a short haired saint, not very common). But I will tell you that Saint Bernard puppies are the cutest puppies in the world. Good luck.

Yeah, those owners from San Francisco were convicted of manslaughter (I don't think it was 1st or 2nd degree murder but maybe) for their canary killing a neighbor in a hallway in their apartment complex. Don't sound like very trustworthy animals. I think they have a pre-disposition problem, like pits do. But, then, I've known some pits that are great!

Yeah, I've seen good pits as well as bad ones. Some predisposition can be blamed, but I don't know where they get off charging $2K-3K for a dog. I think registered owners have to go through a training course before they can take the dog home. I could be wrong, but that's what I was told.

This is the best dog we have ever had, she is so smart and so sweet, her best friend is out tea cup Chihuahua, alot of people think really bad of this breed and its just really sad, as with any dog they can be raised by 2 different people and turn out different. I wish people would give them a chance and a better name, she is our big baby.
