what type of hermit is this???

in one of my live rocks i got around 4-5 months ago, i got this real small hermit. It has grey legs and upper body looks like it is a kind of green color. well this small hermit is now 3 times bigger then my blue leg hermits. it seems to eat alge, flake, & other stuff i feed. what kind of hermit is this. is it safe in my tank.

I am wondering that too, i got one with a bag of scarlets for the LFS, of course they said it was just a scarlet that lost its color:notsure:, but its body looked different.

A pic would really help out. Can you give more details: discription of shell, claws, eyes,hairy? any details will help out.

it is some kind of hermit, it has the shells i put into the tank. it's body is green, and his legs are grey with a black strip & white tips. he is growing quite abit faster then my blue legs, and is bigger then them.:confused: :confused:

firedad720, do a search on google under "images" on "zebra hermit crabs" and see if thats what it look like.
