i am turning my 55 fowlr into reef and this morning i started having problems with my lights...i am running odysea pc ( they come with one switch for moonlights, one for lights, one for atinics) well the problem is that two switches broke..(on/off switches) i can still connect them and disconnect them since each switch comes with it's own plug.....well to make a long story short....i was looking at the corallife light control center and asking those who know, would this product benefit me, since i will no longer need to be using the on/ off switches....all lights still work.....thanks

I went to wal-mart and got some of the heavy duty timers.. like 9bucks each.. They are rated up to like 1k watts each and work perfect.

ok what i did was connect both plugs to a strip plug with the off/on switch on the side.......since i don't really need a timer....would the lights be ok by using this off/on switch to turn my lights on and off or will it hurt my lights

I have the dual aqualight power center and I love it. It runs the daylights on one timer and the actnic and lunar lights on the other timer. :cheer:

Same here..Ihave heard a ton of nightmare stories but mine seems to work great...with an exception...I have the night lights and Actincs on another timer and using the other side as a wavemaker..

I have the coralife digital. I've heard horror stories about the mechanical one but mine has worked flawlessly. only cost like $5 more than the mechanical version.

I have the Coralife timer as well with no problems. I was told by my lfs when I bought it that if you turn the knobs counter-clockwise it will break it. So, I have never turned the knobs counter-clockwise. Had it over a year now.
