what type of RO/DI unit does everyone have??

hey im lookin to get a RO/DI water unit so i can stop going to the store to get a gallon of distilled water everyday lol.....
but im just looking for the bare minimum since i wont be drinking from it all i need it for is my fish tank..... i lose about 1 gallon plus a day from my 100g tank and i would rather have the whole system automated....
i just purchased a JBJ automatic top off system for my tank .... that way when i go on trips i dont have to worry about losing too much water that my fish/corals will die....
im guessing what ill do is keep a 5G water jug below my tank in the stand with a power head in it with fresh RO/DI water that will replinish my tank directly since i dont have a sump.....
what i see is that there are some larger units that put out upwards of hundreds of gallons a day.... i really dont need that since we dont drink from the tap anyways .... does anyone know what i can get just for my tank situation?? can i get one of those small counter top ones that does like 20 gallons a day or are those not good enough??
thanks for any advise i want to get it this week since im going on a 5 day vacation towards the end of the month and want my whole system automated...

do u change a filter in it every so often??

I have kent HI-Series RO/DI $184.00 35 gal per day. Hooke dup to water source make water when needed in 5gal buckets, Filters change 1 time a year.

I bought a new "filters direct" unit. It will make 110 gallons per day if it's left looked up to the proper pressure, but we have a lower pressure faucet, so I just hook it up for about 90 minutes to fill my 5 gallon jug and then I disconnect it. I paid $90 from the famous auction site, but it's not really an auction, as you just deal directly with the manufacturer, pick the unit you want, and pay. The usual "retail on the unit is some absurd number like $380, but they're selling now for only $90. The can be plumbed in if you wish, but I bought the cheap fitting so I can plug into a faucet or garden hose. It's great - and very well made. :jumping:
