What kind of water do other people in this hobby use in the tank and how do you get it or filter it?
Thanks,
Greg

You seem to have left out alot of options
My RO
My RO/DI
MY DI
Purchased RO
Purchased RO/DI
Perchased Distilled
Perchased filtered sea water
My Tap unfiltered
My Tap with common filter
Purchased Tap common filter
Other
There are many options available, if you want to get a feel of what people use. The scope of your poll would need to be widened.
I use Purchased RO for water changes and Purchased distilled for top off.

I currently use regular tap water in my reef tank and everything seems to be running as planned. The Pet store tells me I need a RO Unit or to buy it from them. I was thinking they are just trying to make some $$$.
Your thoughts
Thanks,
Greg

Purchased and tested ro/di water.Health department requires monthly testing of the places water(they always know I want to see the current test results from the State)...and I check it for ph/nitrate/phosphate/silicate prior to using it.Cost is .20 per gal and I normally get 20 gal per week...unless for some reason I'm doing intense water changes. My Birthday is in July if anybody wants to send me a ro/di unit for the work shop!!!!! :D

I'm with NM. I buy water from a drinking water place. 2 r/o units, 2 carbon filter units, di and uv sterilize. $0.20 a gallon.

10% pure, unadulterated, virgin, pristine tap...with a little salt. Morton's seems to work the best. with the Iodine and all.

Britta filtered tap water 1 gallon at a time 95 times. the ph here is only slightly low and cc seems to have brought it right into par 8.2 still cycling though.
