what type of water

hey guys,
im want to start cycling out my tank today but i dont know what kind of water to use... i kno RO water is the best but i cant get RO water ... would distilled water work?(if so where could i get 10G worth) or could i use tp water and have it cycle for 9+weeks?

distilled would work, but RO would be better, you could get ti from a supermarket, or walmart

Have you checked with your local fish store LFS for RO water?

alot of supermarkets around here do not sell bottled ro water, even by the gallon. However, read the water machine by the bottled water and see if it mentions a reverse osmosis membrane... Walmart has it most of the time, or if there is a meijers near you, they almost always have it. The Kroger right by me, like 1/16 mile used to have a machine, but the a-holes went hellen keller and re-arranged the store and got rid of it...

alot of times ***** sells their ready-made salt water.. 10 gallons would be like less then $10... no need to buy salt either, but watch out as they use hydrometers...
