what would be a great service here at SWF

is if there was a place where people could post their ratings of the fish pictured to the left directly on the fish's picture page. sorta like a review post that could give future buyers a little more insight on the fish. there are some fish listed with a ton of info, and then some with almost nothing. I realize there is the fish discussion forum, but if i'm looking at a picture, and see different reviews or comments from people directly under that picture, i'd get more from it than having to start a thread and hope someone responds.
just something the mods might want to pass on. if they want a good example send em to amazon.

agreed, I have never had an issue with any stock I have gotten from SWF but the oddball things like some corals it would be nice to have an idea beforehand

Items without any kind of description aren't even considered for purchase by me. To have customers (valued, trustworthy customers) write reviews for a fish or invert would be an awesome service no other website I've been to has.

I think that it would be a good idea too.

For the review that might be bad because of inexperience maybe they could have a link to their profile so you can see how long they have been in the hobby. If you clicked their link and it said they only had 6 months in the hobby then you might consider inexperience but if they had several years in the hobby then you could decide if weither or not if you want to believe them or not.

I'm wary of the idea.
Personally I would rather people research their own purchases and ask on here.
For instance... someone could say "i'm keeping a Purple Tang" in my 6 gallon Nano. One or two people might post how great their Mandarins are doing in small tanks, etc.
Anyway, point is, I think asking about critter descriptions is part of why this forum exists.

i think a good thing would be if when you click on somebody's name it showed their fishlist, with their experiences good or bad, with each fish., it sure would help me out, apparently nobody has ever kept a Brzilian Gramma..., and sw.com doesn't sell them so your way is flawed.(no offense)

No offense taken... but you have to keep the big picture in mind.
This forum exists to promote SFW. Any system that would be put in place would obviously only pertain to livestock purchased here.

If I owned SWF.com I definately would not want a review feature. What would you think if you owned SWF.com and you had a product that really moved, but then a few people decided to give it a bad review and cause sales to drop?
