Ok i've decided since Santa didn't bring me squat for my tank I will have to take matters into my own hands. Here is where I need your input. i can only buy 1 so which do you think is more sensible.
Upgrade to a better skimmer?(currently using unit that came with wet dry filter)
Or an RO DI unit so I don't have to drag water jugs around any more???
Of course the one not chosen will follow next month.LOL

+ RO/DI. Just kept the load light enough till a new skimmer comes along.

It's a landslide for RO DI.
50 gpd enough or is that pretty slow?

that should be enough. Think about it this way. Here in canada if you buy your RO water its 5$ for 5 gal then you have to pay a 10$ deposit on the bottle!!!! So if you have a larger tank say 30 gal or above it pays when you start doing water changes. Hell if you have a really large tank say a 200+ gal it will pay for itself in the first fill up....
