What would you want in a tank/reef computer program?

I think overanalyzer was looking more for like a computer diary/history not so much an automated system, but I may be wrong.
1. I would want it to give me a place to have levels entered by date and provide graphs and trends based on them.
2. Pictures entereed by date
3. Coral/Fish db lookup.
4. Stocking list of current inhabitants
5. Auto web update feature.
There are more but those are off the top of my head.

Ryebread - not so much.
I am thinking more along the lines of ShaneV's suggestions. I want to know what kind of computer trackign program featuers you would like.
Beside - would you really want to miss out on all the fun stuff like propogation??? OR hauling buckets of top off water?

Have it when you close it run in the backround (desktop tray) and give you reminders when to add additives and water changes etc etc.
USB Probes for PH and etc (hehhe:D )

im already doing this (sorta) i had an old 486 sitting around and i bought a low quality monitor for it. i put the computer in the room behind my tank with my sump and stuff. i use excel and a planner program from windows 3.1 to track types of food used. approx growth of coral and fish, and water quality (i do two tests a week) I also store pics on it but doing this is more of a hassel than its worth. i have to get pics imported to the hard drive via three and a half floppy. it has proven much more simple to just use my P3 and burn them onto cdr. i will say though i thought it was going to help but it has become more a toy/bragging right. when friends talk about my obsession they say things like. "He's so into his fish that he has a dedicated computer for them.":)

I believe it should have an entry for anythig that they make a test kit for and you should be able to add a particular test to the graph or cell that you test most frequently for. What I mean there is that they should all be available but you should be able to chose what you want as a customize like style, then this table should be able to show your test patterns in a graph style that is also printable.
It should be able to record your fish livestock, date purchased, notes and date of death or MIA.
It should have a printable log book.
As stated before a photo area.
And above all it should include a complete disease book done by Terry B and Beth Jenopskiwojohowitzsmith :D Just kidding I don't know what her last name is.

I would like to have a graph that would show treads and projections of calcium, alk, mag, PH, salinity levels, also linked to the tank temp & the room temp and humidity. I would also like to simultaneously track the amount of topoff water that is being added.
Basically so I could pinpoint when I needed to adjust the kalk due to less/more evaporation.

EXACTLY!!!
I have tried reef con and it is pretty bland and I don't think it is very user friendly. I know a couple of geeks and a User Experience professional and between the four of us we are thinking of desigining and writing a program to help us keep track of fish tanks ..... so what would you want?

Are you counting Me in this list of Geeks, because I am already working on an Acces Database for mine.

Imagine that, if we could compile an awesome database of Fish, Corals, and inverts, along with level trackers, graphs and charts instructions on Hypo, hlle etc...and offer it as shareware......
