What's all over my corals???

Everything in my 55g was doing quite well, and seemed happy. Recently, I added two gorgorians, and they don't seem to be doing well. Physically they look ok, but all of a sudden everything in my tank is covered with a brown stringy substance... it's on the glass, coral, and substrate. I can blow it off the coral but it just blows around and falls right on them. It may not have anything to do with the gorgorians (I just took them out of my DT 10 min ago), but they seem to be covered in it the most... almost like it's coming from them. I've included some pics... sorry about the horrible quality. Some of my params: sg=1.025 temp=80 amm=0 nitrites=0 nitrates=2.5
Thanks,
Dan

when you added the gorgs you didn't expose them to air probally so you float temp acclimated them and released them with the water from your bag into your DT. If so the water they were in might be your problem If it was added to your DT. Were did you buy them LFS. need some more info to trouble shoot
whats your other water parimeters alk cal mag ph
do you test for phosphates
looks like a diatom bloom of some sort or maybe cyno outbreak
what do you have for flow
what type of lighting do you have
how old are the lamps
do you have a skimmer
whats all in your tank
do you use a refractometer to check salinity

I need to buy new tests for alk, calcium, mag, ph... I'll do that this weekend.
My turnover rate right now is about 30x.
Using 54x8 watts of T5 (nova extreme).
I'm running a skimmer.
Live stock: 1 b&w clown, bicolor angel... corals: hairy shrooms, pipe organ, gsp, zoas, torch...
Yes, I'm checking salinity with a refractometer.

Gorgs will shed when you move them but that almost looks more like cyano from the pics, what kind of gorgs were they?

get a phosphate test kit too when you test post so we can see whats going on here 30x is good that ammount should suspend detritus from buliding up but you do have small amount of trates do you run a fuge how often do you do water changes and have you recalibrated your refractometer recently just some things to check

I did calibrate the refractometer and it's fine... I'm getting new tests tomorrow. Even with the 30x flow rate I feel that there is a dead spot or two, so I'm gonna try moving my phs tomorrow. I tried taking the gorgs out and cleaning off my corals with a baster, but it seems to have come back. Maybe it's a coinsidence that this all started when I introduced the gorgs.

Looks like dinoflagellates. It is a type of diatom I beleive. I had a bunch of it and could not get rid of it. So I added a spotted rabbit fish to clean up some of my caluerpa and bam he ate it all and I have not had any return. Man I love that fish. SO try that. Other than that you can search it to try to find other cures.
