On a guess, in case one culture dies, you have another as a back up. I am assuming your referring to breeding and culturing phyto or rotifers?

this is impossible i need some help...yes im referring to hatchering rotifers... i have no idea what i'm doing and i read the book clownfishes cover to cover today.i'm also trying to make green water but have no ida what i need or how to make it it costs for live greenwater $100 a liter thats insane.

i bought all the things im freaking out i read the entire book clownfishes i setup evereything and im clueless with tons of questions i cant get any help i looked in the back of the book they list contacts to help with breeding clownfishes..i get answering machines no one calls back and i wanna be prepared if they lay eggs the female looks fat and looks like anyday she will lay eggs.. i have the tanks setup 1 for the larve 1 for the rotifers which i dont have live green water or phytoplankton to feed them i have enogh dead phytoplex by keny marine to last 5 days till i get the real deal... i have plent of rotifers....i just dont know what im doing ,, im trying to make green water to feedt he rotifers in the 10 gallon tank....this is very hard i read through all the archives on this site i still have questions and i cant get answers...i dunno what to..im going to ead the book again...shes just not explainative in certain cases.. i guess she assumes if your breeding clownfishes you know the basics which I dont. very frustrating...anyways im gonna keep calling those contacts in back of the book hopefully someone can help me out..bang has helped a little just not so clear, but he knows what hes doing,

i have 3 gallons of kent marine phytoplex bang guy said that wouldl ast me 6 days since the phytoplankton is dead...i need live phytoplankton or algae discs to make green water..i cant find any sites.. or 1 liter bottle of instant algae that is $70 plus shipping.

Here are a few links to a few good sites about phytoplankton. The "greenwater" your talking about is phytoplankton and it does not cost $100 a liter. You can get a 20 oz bottle of phytoplankton for $15 shipped.(the species is Nannochloropsis)

I already gave you a link to a thread where someone is selling the "greenwater" (aka phytoplankton)you need.
