They love their beer in South America with alot of lime and salt.. I had one and its gross.. mostly because of the salt part.

I still don't understand the corona craze, that is just not a good beer.
Yea. When you talk to people in Mexico, they consider that one of their sub-standard beers. Kind of like our Lone Star and Pearl.

Corona just has a great marketing strategy. I like one of their latest commericals where the husband and wife are sitting on the beach with the Corona and lime between them. Some girl in a string bikini walks by, and you see the husband turn his head to watch her. Next thing you see is the wife picking up a lime, and squirting it into the husbands face. Classic.

The right Ad-Man can sell anything. Look at light beer--the biggest scam in the history of the Adult Beverage Arts. Take some beer, water it down, sell it for more than the original. (For years, Miller Lite sold for more $ than reg Miller.)

WOW, a Srfisher siting in "the aquarium" section....Steve if you keep having to answer "Can I put a Clown Trigger in my 75 gallon reef with Nemo? They are so cool",
you may be here more often like me.

Kirk, I spend half my day arguing politics (not really arguing, I just set people straight) that I need a little lighter conversation sometimes. I'm a single Dad (60+ with a 11 yr old daughter, that's a kick!) and when my kids are out, I talk to the dogs otherwise.

I actually really like these alot....I usually use some tomato juice and tobasco, although clamato works because it already has salt in it.....It kind of smoothes out the taste of cheap beer which can be kind of sour sometimes. If you like Blue Moon or Hefe....you might like these....in other words people who like heavier unfiltered beers. Disclaimer here: This knowledge comes from spending too much time in bars as a bartender and customer, I am a girl, and this stuff will MESS your stomach up sometimes, mostly because of the tobasco. Antacid is highly recommended. Beyond that....have fun with your alcohol!!

Well, I picked up the 4 pak of Chelada with my coupon....I kinda dig it. It has a "beach like" taste to it, i.e. like it would be good at the beach. Not a drink you would want to down a bunch of I suspect, but one is pretty darn good.
I give Chelada 4 stars out of 5
....And again, I don't really like Budweiser.

Most of them would add the oysters for 'taste'.
I eat raw oysters all the time. Really nice w/ a lil vodka and hot sauce. Not sure I'd risk that in the Mexican ******** tho.

There is no accounting for taste. I remember my brother telling the story of going to visit some of out relatives in Arkansas. He and his friend went to the store for beer and discovered Budweiser was cheaper than their "premium" brand, Falstaff

If you're from Aurora, and old enough, you may remember "Point Special" beer. Mike Royko raved about the stuff (still brewed in C. Wis) and the northbound Chicago tourists couldn't by it fast enough. When lite beer (an oxymoron) became popular; Point's President did a commercial for "Point Lite". He filled a big glass with ice and poured a Point over the ice.

Chelada has been around for a couple years now, it was out before they got taken over. Even here is STL it is hard to find...i assume this is because it is gross.
