Whats going on with my BTA?

So it looks like it is splitting but I am not sure. This is just a little guy I have had about a month that tagged along on the rock I got with a bigger BTA. It has been missing about a 1/4 of his tentacles since I found him, not sure why, or what happened. But now half of it is growing like mad.

does it have a mouth yet? if so have you tried feeding it a little bit of food ?they like silversides.? looks like a little clone from the larger one.

The main piece has a mouth but the new shoot does not? Is this a split, or is it just blowing up strange?
