I tend to be reactive when it comes to aquarium problems, and was wondering what you kept on hand just in case.....

I know your looking for stuff like Amquel but ammonia was always the least of my worries.
I am more concerned with pests like aptasia or broken equipment.
Joes juice/aptasia X
Phosphate remover
A spare 20g glass tank in the garage and an extra 37g plastic tub.
Lots of extra spare parts, for the pumps and hoses.
Silicone
Crazy glue gel ( to re-attach coral)
Additives like Alk buffer, liquid calcium and such (always test first before use)
Edit:
forgot Lugol's
fish nets
RO water /prepared saltwater
Extra salt
Gel food..(Just in case because I got snowed in once and ran out of frozen food.)
Just ordered Lee's net breeder for the SH tank.
Most important..this site is my homepage so I have a whole lot of help in case of emergancy.

Good info. I noticed you wrote super glue gel for corals instead of the epoxy. Any particular reason?

A good squirt of gel and hold in place for a few seconds and it's good to go. I have never used epoxy, I have used the putty, it doesn't hold very well..

Yup. I mash it up and use the juice as a soak for the food. Sometimes chunks of garlic make it in as well. My hippo LOVES minced garlic

Wow, a lot of that stuff I've never even heard of, but I guess I'll pick up on it as I move along. Thanks for all the input.
Garlic, huh? I've got plenty of that around.

After looking at the "medicine cabinets" here, I have come to the conclusion I need to bulk up mine.

Really? Better than Lugols?
Much! One capful per 1-2 gallons (honestly, we stopped measuring). It's far less stressful to the coral, but I've seen much more come off than when using Lugols. We don't even us our Lugols anymore. When using Lugols, my SPS would take a long time to bounce back and would often turn brown for months, even when using LESS than the recommended amount. With Melafix, the polyps stay out, etc.
