Wow your pictures are really blurry. Coralline aglae in some cases does start off green then turns to purple and red and pink. However without a more in focus picture it is hard to tell what you have there. I
im really curious about whats on your rock too, i just added some more lr rock to my tank and ive noticed, what i could tell from your pics, the same type stuff on my rocks too, ill try to follow along on this to see what it turns out to be
My guess, dead sponge. I had a really nice colony like that, same exact color, but I had to seperate the rocks, so I ripped it, and well, it never grew back.
May be sponge.....
Does it look like these. These green sponges where growing on the back side of this LR when I recently have to turn it around because of coral warfare nearby.....
green could be coraline algae. As far is i know it grows green, red, orange under low light levels. green growing at the lowest light levels. The blues and purples grow under the most intense lighting.

My lights too. If it is hard corralline would be correct. Here is a shot of colors of coralline on a piece of Tonga in mine. Green, red purple, and rarer blue too!!! Most of the time the greems become overgrown by other colors with time, which is happening in this older shot of my tank
Yes it is green coraline..and it is an indicator that water quality is good.
Theres about 9 1/2 species of coraline, each one exibiting a specific color..thus which are not related to light intensity but to nutrient concentration in water column and species.
purple and pinks dominate in reefs due to the higher constant calcium/ alk + pristine water quality demands one must supply..
sweet
i am so hooked on this tank every morning even before i make coffee hmm never thought anything could come between me and my morning coffee lol i go and look at the tank to see the changes
