whats the best and cheapest way to ship xenias

Like mentioned, xenia is a notoriously bad shipper. I'd say that the best way would be something faster than USPS Priority. Maybe like 2 day or overnight for best chances of survival.

look it up here, there is a thread that mentions a bit about it....another member and i are shipping xenia and seeing how it goes...ive heard the main goal is to not let their stalk/skin touch anything...so puttin it on a piece of styrofoam so i cant touch the side of tha bgs would be good....i'll try and let ya know how it goes.

i would try to find someone local who wants to trade. If you do a frag swap by mail and the xenia dies it really isnt fair to the other person

alright sin, looks like mr first attempt at xenia has failed...i think it arrived a little later then what was good for it maybe? not quite sure....i think once i get a few nice xenia stalks i'm gonna try and do a few experiments with shipping and see if anything makes it.

when i ship xenia to clients i take a piece of foam large enough to spread the bag so that it fits almost like a plug in the middle of the bag.
i them rubber band the rock to that foam right in the middle. i fill the bag with water right to the top. as with all my corals i wait until the very last min to go the the shipper so that the coral spends as little time as possible in the bag. i ship for 10:30am delivery, i have never lost one yet.

After I got them and they melted away 1 week later I have 21 stalks growing they are about 1/4 to 1/2 high already thanks for everything.
