Whats the best test kit?

I have a API test kit and was just wondering how good it was and if there is a better one. I also have a Red Sea test kit and seem to get different readings from both of them.

There is no best, there is one that is appropriate for what you are testing and kits that are no good to test it.
So what are you testing?

I like the api for the basics.....ammonia, nitrites, nitrates.....could not read it well on PH
Salifert for calcium, alk
I have api and salifert for phosphate
I just got a salifert for PH...LOL....I have not opened it yet
AND I HATED RED SEA FOR ANYTHING

Nitrate,Nitrite,ammonia,PH,alk,calcium,oxygen. I've been mostly using api kits for all of these.
Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, Alk, Calcium I would keep using API just because it is cheep and that may make it easy to do more testing.
PH and Oxygen I would get a meter or just not test it (let's see the flames
)
You can spend more on say a Sailfert kit but for what you are testing I have never need to do so...

No flames. I agree. Probe is the way to go with pH, definitely, and they're not that much money.
I prefer Salifert for everything but nitrate/nitrite. I use SeaChem for that.

I agree with most said above....I prefer Salifert, but use Seachem as well, but some test kits can just be hard to read....Elos is another good test kit brand....Hard to find, more expensive, but accurate as Salifert.
Pinpoint makes good quality Probes. You can spend the extra money and contact Neptune or probably Digital Aquatics and get a lab grade probe if it's super important, but a standard grade probe will work as well.
