whats the next size up from a 265g?

I am already planning my next tank once my move is complete. I know there are several 265g tanks out there but what is the next standard (for lack of better words) size tank up from a 265?

You can build one or have one built to your specific dimensions. I was looking into upgrading to a 270 but after looking at the dimensions decided I really wanted a 395, not so standard size...it's 7 feet long, 3 feet deep and 30" tall.

any links to where I could find a tank this size? I am thinking of my next tank also, up from 180 gal. I have a 12 foot by 5 foot space in my home itching for a new in wall tank.

may be a stupid question but when it comes to tanks over 300gallons do you want acrylic or glass? Whats the benefit?

I'd like to know about glass vs acrylic too. I know acrylic is lighter but scratches easier.

for some reason all the tanks above 240 gal are made of glass so either glass is stronger or cheaper than acrilic when the sheets are bigger. I personally have allways used glass.

Acrillic become quite expensive as the thickness grows and as length grows. So the the long deep aquariums become quite pricey as the larger area requires more thickness so the single sheets become very expensive.

All of Paradise's large aquariums are acrylic. After owning my 75gal acrylic (filled with your LR
) for 7wks, I'd advise you stick with glass. Everyone says that acrylic is lighter and it is nice to lift my 75 on my own, but how often are you going to be tossing the ol' 300gal around? I'd much rather be able to scrape my glass with a razor blade than to have a lighter tank that will be moved exactly once. Also, all of Paradise's large acrylic tanks bow on the sides. It just doesn't look right.
Did you ever sell your tank?
