I have tried several Copper baneded butterflies and cannot keep them alive, I have drip acclimated over hours. I have tried probably threee or four of them in the past two years, they die within 24-48 hours of being in the tank.

try buying live clams or mussels from the super market. when you get home split it and throw it in the tank. This is how I keep my spot fin's alive which is a harder fish to keep than the copperbands

Their survival rate is rather poor, as you've learned. I wouldn't suggest another. YOur experience is not uncommon with many of these fish.

We have had the same problem in the past.
We finally were able to get one that ate for us. :cheer: We suggest that you make sure it is eating well before you buy it. Good Luck
