Don't think there is anything for your half gallon, lol. I've seen 20 inch retros. I'm sure there is something smaller than that though.

Its not for my half gallon lol Its for my 28 gallon HQI. I need one that is 18 inches or smaller. 12 inches would be nice.

I have seen 18" T5 actinics but cannnot seem to find a single bulb reflector for them. Would like to add actinic to my 20" Sunpod MH like myzislow did to his 24". Is that what you are looking to do CK?

If you are going with a retro T5 kit, then the shortest depends on the length of the bulb. What you get with a kit is end caps and you can do anything between the shortest to the longest bulb.

So how do you ensure you get the correct ballast. For instance if you have a single bulb 18 watt t5 does the bassast come with the kit?

I already have a 150 watt HQI MH over my 28 gallon nano but I just want to get some supplemental lighting so the SPS can look even nicer.

I have the 14K phoenix bulb.

I don't think you're going to find many that are 18" or less.
