What's this on my glass?

This green looking stuff just recently started showing up on one area of my tank. The stuff wont come off when I try to scrape it off.

Coralline algae. Very hard and almost a pain to get off the glass. Need a good scraper to get to it. Magfloats won't normally touch the stuff.

If its on the back glass, most people leave it.

I buy those green scouring pads NO SOAP TYPE make sure...they work great for coraline. Be careful if you have an acrylic tank...they scratch easy. You may have to get a kind of pad that is made for teflon...again make sure it is not the kind with soap on it! Even if it doesn't say it..run it under water from the tap first, any suds...don't use it.

I had a problem with it on starting on the front i bought a magnet scrapper and it works awsome, I do have glass though. Looks pretty cool in the back so I leave it, I have a black background so all the colors really pop
