Thanx

They do it constantly
Nothing really happpens if you wipe your hads through them, least not to me, if you really want to see them, then stir up a little sand or blow your rocks off really well with the turkey baster or tube attached to the powerhead water exit. Then look around the tank, you will see particles attached to the mucus webs.

Sorry, don't see them. I put so much sand of my LR it looked like christmas.:) Maybe I idin't see them, or they were dead or something. I saw a yellowish looking one on the back of my LR but all the other ones are dark purple and dark red. Thanks for ur help on everything Thomas
:D . Today I found a snail or hermit crab(2 small) on my LS. I am keeping it in a plastic cup to properly identify it. It is about half the size of a grain of rice. There are also these things on my LR that look light feather dusters. The small ones are constantly turning around like a satelite and going in their "tube" when they catch something. The biggest one does not go in its tube unles u happen to scare it. There is a fat worm thing sticking out or on it. What is it? BTW I am thinking of having a fuge. I plan 2 get a rubbermaid container(2 1/2 gallons) to put my filter and heater in. I want my tank to look less crowded. I will use pvc piping to get the water to and from the fuge. Is this a good plan? Do u use an air pump to get the water moving?
thanx
